It is difficult to recommend a helmet. Different shaped heads, different molds among manufacturer, etc. I am fortunate to have access to dozens of full face helmets at my LBS. As far as fit, the Giro Cipher was a no brainer. None, and I mean none even came close (fox, TLD, Bell, 661). I maybe could have made the Bell work, but I didn't have to. So if the Giro works for your head, read on. These are only initial impressions as I have only a handful of rides in it, none of which have been in hot weather. My head circ comes a hair over 59 cm which puts me right btw sizes. I recommend sizing down if this is the case for you as it is easier to massage a tight fir rather than pack in a loose fit. After my first ride, it felt perfect as I was a little nervous it would be too small. Cheek pads come stock either 36, 40, or 44 mm and if you feel you need to swap, make sure you check which ones are already in there. Then I was told to call Giro to order direct. The helmet has great field of view and excellent periphery. Venting is hard to comment on as I've been riding in 40-50 degrees F, but my guess is it's going to be a sauna come summer. Oh well... Some have said the chin bar falls too close to the face and should be stretched out a little further. Don't know if this is a safety issue or people just worried they're going to rebreathe too much CO2 and pass out. I'm not too worried about it. I bought the red, black, white and it is sexy! Great helmet, hope to post something long-term.
