I have owned a number of Giro helmets and have bounced them off the ground a number of times, with my head still in it. They do what they are supposed to do, save from serious injury. I like that Giro has a helmet for anyone in any price range.
This helmet served me well over the few years i've had it. It never felt too hot. It was able to mount lights well without sacrificing comfort. Giro was good enough to send me a free roc loc replacement after mine broke, and even sent replacement pads (they wear out and separate). Overall a great helmet, i haven't found one with a similar fit/weight on offer.
Pros Lightweight. Stays cool due to a huge number of vents. Removable visor. Comfortable.
Cons Padding is thin. Roc loc 3 prone to breaking.
