This was a great little unit until it did actually break, and now I cannot get parts or service for it from garmin so its a paper weight.

    Pros
    - Durable
    - easy to use
    - fast set up
    - intuitive interface
    - pretty accurate

    Cons
I broke my screen on a rock when I flipped my bike on a decent and Garmin considers this model to be no longer servicable.

Great as long as you don't need it to do anything flash. If you want to know where you've been and what direction you need to go next, this will do the job perfectly.

    Pros
Trail recording works well, enough memory to map most of a small town. Starts up quickly and runs for a long time on rechargeable batteries. It's also incredibly tough, hasn't faltered whenever I rode out on the trail (despite my holder snapping and sending it to the ground at speed).

    Cons
Can take a while to get a lock. Does not play well with trees. Can be jittery when stationary, making it hard to use the compass.

Great value but go for a mapping unit or better still the new EDGE 705 if you can afford it when it arrives

    Pros
Does exactly what it says on the box, start-up times are OK and the fix under trees is OK but not great.

    Cons
No mapping, not as sensetive as the latest recievers

awesome for beginner gps, wont take long for consumer to want to upgrade.

    Pros
price, size, durability, easy to use

    Cons
no topo map, no internal compass you have to be constantly moving for there to be an accurate north fix, (the faster you go the more accurate it becomes)

Perfect GPS for new users. It is also cheap! Great product to get started riding with GPS

    Pros
Small lightweight GPS with exceptional battery life, and effective signal when in ravines and valleys or under a heavy canopy of trees. Save waypoints on your favorite ride also includes avg. speed, stop time, sunset and sunrise as well as built in astro. charts that predict best times for fishing and hunting. Also displays elevation.

    Cons
No mapping software. Doesn't use built in topo maps. just uses "bread crum" trail with gps coordinates. Effective for navigation back to point from which you started.

This is a great unit for starting since it does the basics - speed, elevation, mapping, etc. Use it for mountain biking and geocaching. Lightweight and water resistant, you'll be able to use this baby for years.

    Pros
Reliable, compact, and rugged. Does the basics - which is all most people need.

    Cons
No built in maps, limited memory.
