This keeps my chain a lot cleaner than a wet lube, but only lasts about 15-20 miles on dusty gravel rides. Doesn't hold up to water, at all. My chain gets noisy immediately after hitting tiny water puddles, or slab crossings with a fraction of an inch of water on them. Good for dry conditions, though.
Pros Doesn't attract grit like a wet lube does
Lasts well in a clean environment
This was one of the first chain lubes i used. It's decent in dry conditions but doesn't seem to stay on the chain too long. Will thicken in the bottle if left for a long time and clog the nozzle.
I can't really recommend this product as some of the possible side effects are not worth the risk. I have had 2 chainguides ruined because of dry lubes like this.
Pros Keeps chain clean in dry and dusty environments
Cons Will....Not can..Will damage most chainguides and some plastic jockey wheels.
Teflon or wax based lubes are the way to go. The repel dirt and water form the drivetrain, but do so at a cost of needing to be reapplied sooner than wet lubes. Also, don't buy the aerosol version of this lube. It goes everywhere, brakes, rotors, and the floor...
After trying many other lubes finally I found one that I use on all my bikes. Other reviews are true about applying a while before ride to let it dry. And then I usually reapply after 70-100 miles of dry riding. If things are muddy, then 25-50 before its gone.
Didn't find any better lube yet and will recommend it to anyone
Pros Dry, long lasting, could be applied to pivots and other moving parts, don't collect dust
Pros - Easy to find at any shop.
- Lubricates very well, making parts slide together smoothy and quietly.
- Easy to use as excess is wiped away easily.
Cons It is not very long lasting. I find that after a ride in any wet conditions, which is the constant norm in New England, I need to reapply. I have had better luck with longevity from other products.
Wipe the chain down with a rag and apply new lube the night before each ride, this allows the lube to dry before hitting the trail. If you apply Finish Line Dry and ride immediately it will pick up dirt.
Pros Doesn't pick up dirt, chain stays clean.
Easy to apply.
Cons Drivetrain starts to get noisy after 7 - 10 miles of hard riding.
After a number of rides the chain starts to gunk up and a proper cleaning with degreaser will be required.
Use it mostly for road bikes, and under the BB where the cables run through the guide
Pros
Works well for road bikes, or mtn bikes in humid climates
Cons
Thank | Edit |not good for mtn bike chains in dry climates
Seems the formula may have changed as it attracts dust more than it used to or I got a bad batch. But keeps drivetrain quite

This would get a higher rating if they would change the cap, it SUCKS! I have broken 2 of them and they are difficult to open when they do work.
Pros
Works well
Cons
Thank | Edit |Twist off cap SUCKS!
This seems to be the best lube I've found. It requires you to re lube every couple rides, but what lube doesn't.

Cons
Thank | Edit |Doesn't last long.

Apply the day before and allow it to thoroughly dry before hopping on the trails. Other than this, this is an excellent lube.
Pros
This is the good stuff. A must have for every mountain bike rider. Good price.
Cons
Thank | Edit |Don't apply it on the trail and ride right away with it, or it will pick up dirt/dust.

Get the little squeeze bottle to lube the chain. Get the can for all the pivot points that you can't get to with gravity.

Use it on most pivot points
great for dry conditions
Cons
Thank | Edit |None
