They really absorb vibrations, and the built-in ends really offer a lot of grip. Great for tearing up hills, or offering different hand positions for long, "flat" sections. But, on varied terrain, with a lot of twisties, I found them to be too restrictive. After an hour or so I would feel like they were keeping my hand spacing too narrow on the bar. I swapped them for grips w/out ends and that worked out for me. But, there is nothing wrong with the Ergons. I plan on putting them on my flat-bar road bike.

    Pros
    lock on
    built in bar ends
    great shock absorbtion

    Cons
    they didn't work for me

I purchased these after an extremely rocky and painful solo 50 mile race. They made a huge improvement in my riding comfort, and the bar ends are awesome for cranking up hills, and grinding out gravel roads. surprisingly light and I don't have issues with slipping on rough trails, I am actually more confident because my hands aren't as fatigued.

    Pros
    comfortable
    bar end
    well designed
