Serious pedals for serious riders. A stiff soled shoe is a must.

    Pros
Quite light, intuitive clip in and release, no issues with mud. I did the "don't ever do that" and mounted a pair just before an early season week in Moab. They were awesome! Even when attempting impossible climbs with the ridiculous traction on Slickrock, I never pre-released, and never had an issue getting out. It was pretty easy getting in from stopped on technical climbs. Great purchase!

    Cons
Nasty when going for a short commute in regular shoes. A click in platform would be nice.

Great for muddy situations, but consider the added support of Candies

    Pros
Easy to clip in and out, light, and always free of mud

    Cons
Lack of support around cleat can lead to hot points, can be difficult to recognize whether or not your cleats have engaged

Plastic dust caps will meld with pedal body making them impossible to service. Request titanium dust caps from CrankBrothers (they will send for free) and replace them as soon as you buy the pedal.

    Pros
    Lightweight
    Mudshedding
    Easy engagement
    lot's of float
    looks sexy

    Cons
The "C" series tends to gum up with dirt quite easily.

the deal on these was too good to pass up, so despite my hesitation about these being my first clip-ins and not having any platform, I decided to go for it.

I couldn't be happier. entry is very easy. No platform hasn't really been an issue. there are times when I would like to get a crank going before i step in but it has just taken some getting used to. they don't feel any different from my friend's Candy pedals once you're clipped in, so you won't miss the platform unless you want to ride in regular shoes sometimes.

    Pros
4 sided very easy entry, simple to repair/rebuild (though I haven't had to), nothing sticks to/in them.

    Cons
not an option to ride without clips, hitting anything on the trail will pop you out of the clips

A fantastic clipless pedal with some awesome deals on line and in stores. I used SPDs for years but am now converted. Get them.

    Pros
4 sided entry. Easy to get out. Super price and reasonable weight. Great dirt and muck shedding.

    Cons
    Nothing

I switched to these from my SPD's and I love them so much I just ordered another pair for my commuter bike.

    Pros
Clipping in and out seems very intuitive
They will NOT release by pulling straight up, you must your foot

    Cons
if you miss clipping in, yuor foot slides right off
They will NOT release by pulling straight up, you must your foot
Can eat into the bottom of some shoes

The pedals are for the most part easy to use, easy to install, easy to come out of it when you want to, and are durable. They make riding my bike alot less of a chore when hitting the trails.

    Pros
They shed mud, dirt, snow, and all kinds of muck you can throw at it easily. Mine have taken a good couple of hits and are still very solid. They release from your cleats pretty easily.

    Cons
They can be a bit of a pain to get in sometimes.

I have had these for about 6 years and have yet to have any problems with them. A great value.

    Pros
These pedals are light, easy to use and durable.

    Cons
Since they do not have a platform, they put a focused pressure on a small part of your foot. On epic rides this could bring some pain.

    Decent pedal for the price

    Pros
Pedals are light, reasonably priced and easy to get in and out of with the 4 entry points.

    Cons
No platform to protect spindles. Had spring break after 4 months of usage, but Crank Bros service excellent and rebuilt for free.

I would get these pedals if you don't have money and you need good cheap clipless pedals.

    Pros

    Cons
    None

Get them if you want clog proof, bomb proof pedals. I have them two years and no problems.

    Pros
I have ridden many clipless pedals and these by far are the best. They never clog even in the mud. Easy entry by either pulling your foot back or pushing forward. Four sides make it easier to enter.

    Cons
Not a large platform. If your out of the clips occationally then these aren't for you.

These were my first clipless pedals. They were easy to get used to, and I haven't had a problem with them in 3 years.

    Pros
Easy to clip in and out no matter pedal orientation.
Never gets clogged with dirt or mud.

    Cons
A little heavier than other clipless pedals, but that's mainly due to materials.

Recommend to anyone looking at clipless pedals.

    Pros
4 sided design makes it easy to clip in and out. Does not get clogged with mud. Reasonably light.

    Cons
Not much. This version is somewhat heavier than the other eggbeaters. Not particularly low profile.
