I ended up hating clipless after riding egg beaters for 3 months and these shoes had a lot to do with that. After breaking a chain, I had to walk out 2 miles. I have scars on the back of my ankles from these shoes rubbing my skin raw and causing blisters. No bueno.
Pros -They look cool
Cons -Super hard plastic shoe body hurts my ankles and rubs the skin raw if I have to do any amount of hiking
-The sole separated from the upper shoe body and I had to shoe goo them together after less than a year of use
-Way too pricey to be falling apart like that
These shoes are stiff and comfortable. Also, hiking in them is bearable when necessary. The key to a nice pair of shoes is a ratcheting mechanism to allow you to really tighten down the strap on your foot and these shoes have them. When making these shoes, I think they thought of everything with these shoes. Not the most expensive, adjustable insoles, and a bit under the strap you read every time you put them on. "Always Lead-Never Follow"
Pros Tread is softer than others
Great cleat placements
Adjustable insoles
Mine have carbon sole
Stiff Comfortable
New to the clipless pedals, but got comfortable very quickly with these. Can definitely feel the difference power. Great shoes- comfortable at a good price
Pros Decent price, Look nice, walkable when hike-a-bike needed solid, comfortable snug fit.
Cons None so far - shoes have tracking for hike-a biking, but pretty clacky if you walk anywhere regular-like.
From trail riding to 24 hour racing, these are the best all around shoes I have used. They are too cold for night winter riding, but they are comfy in hot weather. They are shaped like a hiking show with great tread for hike-a-bike (think Nosedive at 24 hours of Moab) but they are also very stiff for pedaling.
Bontrager makes more expensive versions of this shoe, but for less than $100, I am very happy with these as my all-around shoe.
Pros Light.
Stiff.
Comfortable.
Break in quickly.
Good price.
Seem to be holding up well.
Cool in hot weather.
Solid under foot for hike-a-bike.
Compatible with e-Soles custom footbeds.
Neoprene lining, I have worn them with socks (unplanned) and they were fine.
Cons Too cold for cold-weather riding.
The customized e-Soles are insanely expensive.
For the price they are one of the best on the market. They are not a perfect shoe, but for perfection you have to spend more than $140. Still they are good for the money.
Pros Color, durability, comfort.
Cons Tongue is too thin and doesn't stay in place as well as other shoes I have used. They seem to take much longer than other shoes I ahev had to dry out after a rainy ride. Not sure why, but they do.
Great Great shoe for the price!! Light weight and very comfortable. I could seriously wear this shoe everyday.
Pros Most comfortable MTB shoe I have ever used. The Esoles are amazing and give great support. These shoes have a nice roomy toe box but still hold to the foot extremely well and transfer all your pedal power!
Cons Ratching buckle is plastic and flimsy. I have already had to replace one after a wreak.
Very good beginning clip shoes.
Pros
Had these shoes for years. They are light, breathable, and durable. Very good.
Cons
Thank | Edit |Freezing in winter. Can mildew if left wet for a night.
These aren't as big an upgrade as they should be, but they perform really well and don't let down in any respect
Pros
Look awesome, great ratchet, great durability

Shoes are great. I wish they would hold up a little more considering the price but in the end I would buy the same shoes again without hesitating.

I use them with egg beaters
Pros

Cons
Thank | Edit |n/a - had the 2012 RXLs and they were very rough inside the heel - they ripped my feet apart in hike a bike sections.
