I have one of these that I used for skating. I have used it a few times on my bike but it's just too hot. Get a proper vented mountain bike helmet with a visor to give you a bit more protection and you'll be happy. You don't have to spend a fortune on a lid, there are many in the sub$50 range that do a nice job. Lots of online discount/outlet sites like SierraTradingPost and others that always have sale items. There are always helmets.
Good helmet for the price. its the first one ive ever owned but im happy with the purchase. The different size pads are nice so you can make it fit to your noggin.
Pros Fit and style. Different sized pads help to make it fit right.
Cons Straps can get annoying but I dont notice them when riding
