Pros: Great value (on sale at performance -> $70) Is a trainer

Cons: Loud, got noticeably louder after ~600 miles on it. Had to remove safety feature so that it would fit 120mm hubs on a track bike.

Recommendation: I broke my collarbone and needed a way to get some miles in, but didn't want to spend much. This trainer is the cheapest one you can find and it gets the job done. The three levels of resistance are helpful when on a singlespeed/fixed gear bike because the non-adjustable trainers require you to change gears to adjust. It served me well for ~2 months while bones were healing, saw about 1000 miles, and is now loaned to a friend with a broken elbow from a velodrome accident.

Recommendation: This is a nice piece of equipment. It is very basic but does everything you expect it to do. It's very smooth and has 3 levels of adjustments. You have to make the adjustments off the bike, but if you want the remote adjuster, you'll have to spend about 30 bucks more. This trainer is easy to use, easy to set up, and stable as any other on the market. I'm putting a lot of weight on this machine and it never complains. It's one of the most inexpensive trainers available, but does everything well, and will not make you wish for a more expensive model. It comes with a heavy duty replacement skewer and not much else. It's pre-assembled so you don't have to worry about that. I had to take a rubber mallet and beat the hard plastic 'feet' into position, and then I had to remove the non-drive side mounting piece so that I could re-seat the plastic guide on that side, but both of those were very minor problems. Since then, the trainer has worked like a charm.
