Forte PIisgah II

Model/Year: Pisgah/ 2018 2.3 inch width

Pros: Durable.Wears well. Good traction.

Recommendation: I bought two of these for $10 a piece on sale with free shipping. Wondered how good they would be at this price and am pleasantly surprised. I don't think I would like them as front tires, but in the back they have been great. Still on the first one after about 300 or 400 miles of riding.

Model/Year: 26 x 2.3

Pros: Excellent cornering grip on packed soil and will allow you to turn on higher speeds on burms.
Predictable and easy to control on dry loose soil.
Manageable on very shallow mud.

Cons: Make sure to keep your mouth closed. Knobby tires throw a lot of dirt and debris.
Mud/snow tend to pancake in between the tire knobs.

Recommendation: Have used these tires for over a year now. Traction over dirt, roots and rocks have been great. The grip on tight turns and burms while maintaining or increasing speed have been excellent. Best tire for less than $30.00 each!

Model/Year: 2013

Pros: Very reasonably priced.
Good traction in dry conditions on hardpack, roots and rocks..
Can run at low psi

Recommendation: These tires are a steal. They can normally be found on sale for $20-$25. They are supposedly made to Performance brand specs by Panaracer.

Model/Year: Forte Pisgah

Pros: Price

Recommendation: In 4mos I had to replace my stock Specialized Fastraks & got Pisgahs. I got em for the price, which i ended paying $20 each thanks to Performance team member points. First thing noticed was the weight. Took it for a test ride and the grip was much so much better on climbing. I recommend these for the budget-minded riders.
