Pros: - Duel direction shifting, push or pull
- have been very durable for me
- gear indicator is easily seens and understanble
- clear pastic cover on gear indicator still in great shape after 4 years of hard use.

Cons: - not the lightest

Recommendation: I have not have a single issue with these shifters. previous reviews tend to say less about them but I have ridden with thwese on my Giant Anthem for the past 4 years and they have lived unharmed by any abuse they have suffered. I flip my bike at least 3 or 4 times a season. I love them.

Model/Year: 2007

Pros: Cheap!

Cons: Cheap feeling and cheaply made! No thumb-thumb shift option (Push-push). Shifts as thumb-forefinger only (push-pull). Shifts feel sloppy and slow.

Recommendation: Upgrade to an XT level and you'll appreciate the quality of the shift and the quality of the build for your money spent.

Pros: Push/pull trigger shifting.
Work with either rapid rise or normal derailleurs.

Cons: Cheap build quality.

Recommendation: I got these in a hurry off ebay for my bike build.

They work ok, but they are not the lightest and not terribly durable. (The bottom cover has come off one of mine)

For the price, they have given me a good two years of service and they still function, but I will probably upgrade them at some point.
