Pros: - lightweight
- very druable
- fairly quiet
- fast stopping

Recommendation: I have had these rotors on my Giant Anthem in the 16omm size for about 4 years now. Both sizes have the same design and pattern, but these 180mms will have a bit more stopping power if you cruise down a lot of decents on your XC rides these may be a decent upgrade for you. I abuse this bike and all it's component like its no ones buisiness. I have even gotten lubricant on these rotors and had to clean them very well and they still opperate flawlessly. When these rotors finnally give out on me I will have no issue replacing them with the same rotor again!

Pros: Big
Extra 20mm diameter, which translates to better stopping power

Recommendation: The 180mm rotors are a great upgrade from the standard 160mm rotors. You won't stop on a dime and pick it up, but there is some extra benefit from having larger rotors. Extra mass to absorb heat, and a greater mechanical advantage for slowing your bike down.

For the average XC rider who likes to get a bit of speed on the downhills, these will be a nice addition to your bike.
