Model/Year: 2013

Pros: The 3 way floodgate makes this shock versatile. Even though this is my first rear suspension, the RT3 is very easy to setup. Because it does have 3 positions, I made a masking tape guide to put on my stem because I couldnt remember what the positions were.

Cons: Could be just mine but it seems that with the shock in locked position, there is still a considerable amount rear travel.

Recommendation: Would absolutely recommend and perhaps replace with the same model should mine ever break

Model/Year: 2013

Pros: Excellent platform shock, with awesome 3-way quick settings.
No more wasted energy on pedal bob.
Super easy to set sag because of markings laser etched on it.
Good price.
Rock solid reliable after a full year of usage.

Cons: ?

Recommendation: Awesome upgrade for my single pivot bike (Airborne Zeppelin Elite). I mostly use the ""Climb" and "Trail" setting. I every once in a while use the "Descent" setting when the trail gets very bumpy. Just reach down and CLICK! Super convenient.

I ran my previous RockShox Bar 2.1 on the stiff side to minimize pedal bob. This did however make the back end bounce over bumpy sections almost the same as a hard tail.

The new RT3 platform quick settings are outstanding! No more pedal bob, well composed on the bumpy stuff, and I don't waste hardly any energy on hills.

This is by far the best upgrade that I have done to my single pivot bike...
