Pros: Affordable, easy to clip in/out, lightweight, clears mud easily.

Cons: The metal ones are much heavier than the plastic

Recommendation: I have been using these pedals for years on all of my bikes, they seem to last forever, never had a problem. If I needed to ever replace, I would def buy again.

Pros: Great mud shedding pedals. They are also easy to clip in and out of, which is ideal for clipless noobs. They also come in pretty colors giving you options in blinging up your bike.

Cons: They don't stay pretty for long. I've had mine for over 3 months and after 18 rides they are all dinged up and scratched, but hey, they're pedals they're there to be used. Also, they can be quite demanding as the manufacturers require service after x number of rides which can be as often as every 6 months. Can be quite pricey.

Recommendation: I recommend it to those new to clipless riding and those that like to tinker because you're likely to service these pedals often. Egg beaters are also a good alternative, lighter and cheaper than the candys at least.

Model/Year: 2012

Pros: Clipping in and out is super easy. The adjustable release angle is really nice.

Cons: Not as light as many other pedals.

Recommendation: Can't speak to the durability of the pedals, but they're very smooth and provide a great clip-in target and platform for power transfer.
