Pros: Shimano shoes seem to fit me the best. These shoes have the ratcheting buckle on the arch to custom the fit while riding if needed. Excellent room in the toe box

Cons: Works and feels as good as my old sidis.

Recommendation: Buy them if you want a sturdy mtb shoe that holds up for well and performs as a race shoe should you be into that thing.

Pros: Price, walking surface, stiffness, snowboard style top strap

Cons: Diabetes shoe style bottom two straps, some areas can get clammy.

Recommendation: My first dedicated bike shoe, these guys were a good way for me to find out of clipless was for me (it isn't). That isn't their fault though, these shoes were surprisingly comfortable, nice and stiff, and the ratcheting top strap make sure that my foot was always locked in. Biggest beef with this shoe though is that the ventilation is patchy. Toes get great (too good sometimes) ventilation, while my arches and mid-foot are stuck in a plasticky sauna. Oh well, you get what you pay for I guess.
