Giro Code VR70

December 17, 2013

Model/Year: 2013

Pros: plenty of strength
good ventilation
strong ratchet strap

Recommendation: I walked into a local bike shop, and made the mistake of walking by the "closeout" table. Saw a set of these shoes for DIRT cheap and they happened to have my size as well.

These are a HUGE step up from the lace up shoes I had originally. It is far too cold to use them now, but I'm definitely looking forward to next warm season.

Model/Year: 2012 Giro Factor

Pros: Extremely comfortable
SuperNatural Fit Kit
Breath Well
Great traction for hike a bike

Recommendation: I've been a die-hard Sidi fan for mountain shoes for years, and these Giros have truly converted me. I bought these a couple weeks before the Mohican MTB 100 last year, thinking I would give them a try after the Mohican. First time I tried them, it was like a Bespoke suit. Fit perfect and the SuperNatural Fit Kit makes the Sidi footbeds look and feel like cardboard. Needless to say my Sidi's never were rode again. Only took about three rides to get everything right. After 100 miles , I had no foot pain what so ever.
