Pros: Stiff
20mm thru axle

Cons: Lack of compression adjustment

Recommendation: The axle is stiff. It is easy to set up and adjust. Also, changing the oil is easy. A great fork.

Pros: - Very light
- Smooth and super plush
- Durable stanchion finish

Cons: - Pinch bolts & no quick release system
- Rebound cartridge broke
- Expensive replacement parts

Recommendation: A very, very plush fork that feels like you're riding on a soft pillow. The Nixon is nice and light and instantly makes the front end responsive and easy to pull up into a manual. However this may be part of its demise... my rebound cartridge blew after only a couple of months of riding. Another downfall is that there is no quick release system and lastly the cost of replacement parts is ridiculous. Probably because they don't make the fork anymore but hey it has to be said.

I wouldn't recommend buying any model of Nixon.

Model/Year: 2008

Pros: Stiff
20mm thru axle

Cons: Weight

Recommendation: Not the lightest fork. But it is very plush and easy to set up. Also, the thru axle is super stiff.

Pros: I have the '07 145mm fork on my sons FR rig and I love it. It is bomb proof!

Cons: Pricey

Recommendation: If you want a very tough but light fork shock, this is one. Makes a great FR fork!

Pros: The increased travle over the '06 model, looks, and it is bomb proof.

Cons: pricey

Recommendation: smooth as silk over some extreme terrain. You ride a mountain bike fr a reason, get a shock that does what it is supposed to do. Buy this (but haggle fr a good deal)!
