Pros: Great way to teach your kid to ride a bike! Many kids won't learn to ride until they're at least three. On the Strider they may even learn to ride a bike before they learn to walk! Small enough to keep inside and even ride inside for most homes. Great design and durable build.

Cons: Price may be a con for some. The tires are made of foam and not rubber, the foam has not torn apart for me yet although I fear it could if ran through sticks and stones. Foam may be a safety precaution for younger riders who like to put small rubber pieces that could break off in their mouths.

Recommendation: I recommend this bike for anyone who has a child between the ages of 1 and 5. The development of motor skills alone is worth it.

If the price is a con for you, maybe you should re-evaluate your desire to teach your child to ride a bike and consider how much you spent on that super-duper, heavy duty, beast of a stroller so that your child can just sit there and do nothing.
