Model/Year: Nevada 29 2.0 - 2012

Pros: Strong steady ride through all terrain. With a 29er you power through just about anything dished out.

Cons: Hard to find a Serious tire with good grip for a 29er today.I need teeth for that up hill.
The front shocks SR Suntour XCM V3 w/ mechanical lockout, 100mm travel are not the best for sure but are ok.

Recommendation: My only real disappointment is the front fork shocks. But the bike it self is a real winner.

Model/Year: 2011 Nevada 3.0 19" Step-over

Pros: Solid/Durable

Looks good

Good factory components

Recommendation: I bought this bike in February of this year (2012) as my first real trail worthy mountain bike. I have taken it through some very technical, muddy, rocky terrain so far and it has proven itself worthy. I highly recommend this bike to anyone looking for a starter bike that won't break the bank and will hold up in all different situations. Obviously it's good as a first bike and I'll upgrade eventually. But I am sufficiently please with this purchase.
P.S. IT COMES IN MORE THAN JUST PURPLE. Mine is blue and white. Very sharp.

Pros: Nice frame, good components for the price range

Cons: Tektro IO brakes are kind of Lame

Recommendation: I found this bike with $200 off for being last year's model, and for $399, it's the best bike I found. Handles really good, super fast on the trail and have been dealing with bunny hoping for a while. So I'll say it's a great bike for the price.
