Model/Year: FSX 29One

Pros: *For the price a great entry level bike to get you on the trails. *Nicely put together frame, the welds and paint are spot on. *Decent Components to ride until upgrades are needed, Shimano Alivio/Deore. *SunTour XCR V4 w/lockout. I'm only 150Lbs. this fork works fine for me, most people I know 175Lbs it just doesn't work for them unless you upgrade the spring and at that point just upgrade the entire fork. Don't forget SunTour's loyalty program, you can typically save $100 of an upgraded shock! *KS rear shock. The lockout actually works!

Cons: *Tektro mech disk brakes are serviceable after adjusting, but once I get into anything technical I'll be wanting to upgrade them. *Pedals are dirt cheap old school style, upgrade immediately. *KS rear shock. Not the best performance on rougher terrain but serviceable in tandem with 29er tires. Will be replaced down the road.

Recommendation: I was looking for a bike to get back into mountain biking that would not break the bank, so far I'm quite pleased with the FSX 29One. I've only done XC and a few beginner single track trails, the bike has held up with no issues and is quite comfortable to ride. I'll update after I get my feet wet and start working my way up in difficulty. All in all I think it's a great platform to get into the sport or back into in my case. Well made frame with good usable entry level components, a decent bike to build as you ride and have it progress with your abilities. I paid $398.

Model/Year: N/A

Pros: Price Point, Gearing, Over all feel, Quality

Cons: Tires, Narrow Handle Bars, Clearance, Mounting for accessories

Recommendation: To start this bike is awesome, and its price point make it even more so. In no way is this a top of the line perfect bike, but I give it a 5 star due to what you get at the price you pay, it i the best bang for your buck and its worth every penny. I bought it brand new (in white) off of eBay for $300.00 free shipping. My expectations right off the bat were not very high, but I was looking for a quick bike for under $500 preferably dual suspension and 26in wheels. When it came in, there was some assembly required, handle bars, wheel installation and pedals, all cables and such were already assembled. I was impressed by the looks of the bike, It is a slick looking bike that fits in with some of the $1000-$2000 bikes. After the first initial ride I was even more so impressed. Ive done a lot of street riding and a moderate amount of mountain biking. It will out perform any department store bike, and with some slight upgrades Im sure it would compete with the $1000 market. I have had the bike roughly 10 months now. As of recent I have upgraded Tires which have made a world of difference. Just took the bike on the most aggressive trail i have been on to date and the bike handled wonderfully. It flowed around corners, crawled up the uphill climbs, and blew through the downhills seamlessly soaking up any bumps or obstacles along the way. Jumps are fun and I trust the bike to handle the air and the abuse. As any bike, just double check to make sure all the hardware snug. I have noticed that the gear and the pedals even when evened out do catch on a lot of high points on technical obstacles, I have caught my foot a few times on roots which hurt pretty bad. Accessories can be hard to mount due to the way the bike was designed, just make sure you really do your research before purchasing added gear.

Model/Year: 2016

Pros: Great bike over all for entry level soft tail full suspension bike

Cons: Tires that come with it are not that aggressive of a tread design

drink holder placement is in bad spot because the brake and shift cables are on top of top rail which forces bottle cage to be on bottom of down tube by the pedals

Chain sits right up against tire when in granny gear

Recommendation: I would highly recommend this bike to some one wanting to get an entry level bike they can mod and make there own instead of a off the shelf bike
