Model/Year: 2016 Origin8 Amorok XLT

Pros: This bike is FUN! It has turned into my goto bike for MTB. It has traction to death and is a good climber. It is faster than I thought it would be and pretty nimble. It is comfy and is semi quick. For the money it is a nice bike.

Cons: It is heavy. Around 37 lbs(LG). Wheels can't really go tubeless as they don't have much of a bead shelf. I have upgraded to a 30t narrow wide cr and an 11x36 cassette, climbs well now.

Recommendation: I also put avid elixir x7 hydros on. The mech brakes were good but the elixers are better! She is a big fat devil and I prefer the hydros. Other than that for me RUN IT! Enjoy it!

Model/Year: 2016

Pros: Budget friendly
Geometry
Plenty of room for big tires

Cons: A little heavy (But no heavier than a Surly Ice Cream Truck)
Heavy Wheels

Recommendation: The only thing I would recommend changing is the saddle and grips, but if you use it in the winter consider some of the other tire options out there. I swapped the OE tires for Maxxis Minion FBF/FBR but will run the OE tires in the warmer snow free months.

Model/Year: 2016

Pros: Great frame and fork, decent wheel set, can accommodate largest tires and then some. Lower end components but they work great.

Cons: Really nothing at this price point. No mounts on fork for cages.

Recommendation: I think this is an incredible bargain for $999. I got one at introductory sale for $850. Weighs the same as Ice Cream Truck. Switched bars, stem and seat to personal preference and cut a little more weight. Could easily fit Vee Rubber Snowshoe 2xl and possibly bigger if they ever make anything bigger. 4.9s that come stock are fine multipurpose tires about same volume as a Bud or Lou. Components low end but work well, especially drivetrain. Brakes are adequate. This is more of an adventure/fun/bike packing bike than a racer.
