Pros: Cheap-Works for the Most part

Cons: Does not take abuse-Will need consistent adjustments/maintenance.

Recommendation: This is your standard low end bike shifter. It's not amazing and there are far better rear shifters on the market. I've never had a major issue with this product but that's with extreme care taken. If you try to max it out to its limits, it could very likely fail.

Model/Year: 2014

Pros: okay shifting for the price somewhat durable low maintenance

Cons: if hammered on a lot it WILL break down

Recommendation: okay derailleur for the price, does shift okay..... if you have an old hashed RD get this or the Acera you will enjoy...!

Model/Year: 2005

Pros: It's very inexpensive. This was the stock derailleur on my 05 Giant Boulder, an entry level bike. It has survived thru 2 or 3 very rough seasons and is still on the bike which is used from time to time with a buddy on some local single track.

Cons: -It needs a lot of feathering and constant adjusting to get smooth shifting.

Recommendation: Upgrade ;)
