Pros: This cable/housing combo is durable and produces smooth shifting for years.

Cons: Pricey. It can also be a little more difficult to install than other cable/housing systems due to tolerances.

Recommendation: If you hate replacing cables and housing every season due to wear and friction, buy this system.

Pros: Buttery smooth shifting. Impervious to dirt and mud. Zero maintenance required.

Cons: Expensive

Recommendation: I had this installed so can't speak about the install. If you follow the instructions it isn't so bad I heard. I am running this with XTR and what a difference from my teflon coated cables. They were in need of change so I broke the bank and went for this. Absolutely awesome. I didn't think there would be much difference from my old cable but there was. Shifting in either directions is nearly effortless. I highly recommend spending the money. You get what you pay for. The rubber grub seals basically seal the cable from shifter to derailleur. If like me and have shift indicators (XTR) they might have to go.
