Pros: Shifts well and the initial lubrication that it comes out of th box with works incredibly well.

Cons: Looses it's shine after about 200 miles. Like every chain, this one needs to be wiped down right out of the box. If you don't, it'll pick up more dirt bags than a 14 y/o girl at a Frat party.

Recommendation: Not my favorite chain out there because Shimano uses pins instead of some sort of powerlink like SRAM. Luckily it is compatible with them so it is not a major issue. Haven't had problems breaking them. Just wish they stayed shiny longer.

Pros: durable threw mud & gravel
no play yet after 1 season
just keep clean & oiled

Cons: none at the time

Recommendation: good buy, rock bent a disc while on gravel but chain keep on going...

Pros: Light.
Decent price on sale.
Works with Sram powerlink.
Never broke, lasted until replaced due to stretching.

Cons: None, for the price

Recommendation: I ran this almost two seasons and then replaced it and the cassette due to stretch. While in service, it never gave me one issue.

Pros: Smooth shifting, reasonable weight

Cons: I've used two of these, and each broke within the first 200 miles. After that, they last a long time.

Recommendation: I think I'm going back to SRAM 990 as I haven't had good consistency with Shimano XT
