Model/Year: 2015

Pros: No dropped chains. 'Nuff said

Cons: Expensive. Will wear quickly in smaller sizes

Recommendation: I have two and love them. The 30t is especially well made.

Pros: Really keeps the chain on even without a chain guide ! I have hit some nasty rock gardens and drop offs ....so far no problems

Cons: None so far .....

Recommendation: Great chaining for going 1x ... recommend the rock ring to go with it .

Model/Year: 64bcd 28t

Pros: Light, no drops, great looking.

I have only been able to ride about 50 miles so far with the chain ring but it has worked as described. I was on some very rocky and rooted trails this weekend with no issues at all. With a 64bcd I did put a 32t BCD bash guard as recommended by Wolfs tooth.

Cons: None so far

Recommendation: Yes I would recommend this!

Model/Year: 2014

Pros: - performs as described
- reliable
- light

Cons: - durability

Recommendation: One of the best upgrades in 2013 was transitioning from a 2x10 to a 1x10 using a 30T Wolf Tooth drop stop chainring. It performed as described through rocky, rooty and rough terrain. Highly recommend to anyone looking to adopt a 1x10 or 1x11 setup. Durability may or may not have been an issue with the product itself, but the chainring did wear faster than traditional chainrings.

Model/Year: 2013

Pros: Light

Cons: 120 BCD smallest size is 36T

Recommendation: I bought this to convert my Anthem to 1x. At the same time I added an x9 Type 2 RD. A couple of shakedown rides went off without a hitch, but I wasn't really impressed until I rode Reddish Knob. Dropping down Wolf Ridge like a banshee, I never dropped a chain. These rings just flat out work.

My only complaint is that the 36x36 gearing is a little much for some bigger climbs. Wolf Tooth is working on a 42 tooth cog that should help. Stay tuned, I'll get my hands on one of those ASAP.
