Model/Year: 2017

Pros: None

Cons: FLIMSY!

Recommendation: Came stock on my Trek Fuel EX 5 27.5 Plus and after owning the bike for less than 3 months, I bent the 3rd largest cog twice. Both times the part was under warranty, but after the 2nd time my local bike shop gave me the value of the HG50 toward the purchase of a better SRAM cassette and I paid the difference to upgrade. So far I haven't had any issues with the SRAM cassette.

Pros: Reliable. Smooth.

Cons: None

Recommendation: Came factory on my 2016 Xcaliber 9. I have had no problems at all.

Model/Year: HG50 10 Speed 11-36t / 2015

Pros: High quality steel, great ratio for power & torque, beveled edge on the drive side of the cog delivers ultra smooth shifting, super quiet, and easy to clean.

Cons: weight of steel compared to aluminum or titanium.

Recommendation: Great for all types of riding. Not to bad in price. Super tough and ultra smooth. Weight should not be a factor on something that is the heart of your rig.
