Model/Year: Ultra HD

Pros: Lightweight
Easy to use
Simple controls
Decent quality

Cons: Not in production any longer

Recommendation: I've used these since they first came out. I've probably gone through a dozen of them. I use them to record everything from my bands shows to kids, etc.
The past few years, my remaining ones have been my daughters for her to play with. I love them for what they are. But, since they haven't been in production in about 4-5 years, I'm guessing that they're near impossible to find and the ones that are out there aren't in the best shape.
They do have a tendancy to just stop working. Are you going to fix a $75 camera? No. Throw it away and get a gopro.

Pros: Light weight, rugged, and versatile. Video quality is great and this camera is simple to use.

Cons: Not easily helmet-mountable. Handlebar mounts exist but I'm told they're a little wonky.

Recommendation: If you're looking for a small, lightweight, and inexpensive video camera to take on the trail, this is a good one to consider. Works great for fixed position shots and paired with a mini tripod you can set it up to film yourself easily. If you have to have helmet mounting options, this isn't the camera for you.
