Model/Year: VPD 2.0

Pros: Sturdy
2 straps
Comfy

Cons: Not for XC

Recommendation: The "con" isn't really a con as it wasn't designed for XC, but I included it for those shopping online who can't see them in person. These are sweet pads and really inspire confidence. The pad has a nice feel. It's feels like a mix of hard shell and soft padding. I've never felt another pad like it. You do pay a premium for POC but I don't mind spending the money for quality, comfotable protection.
NOTE: this review is not for the DH LONG, just the shorter 2.0

Model/Year: 2014

Pros: Provides fantastic protection without sacrificing comfort. No bunching behind the knee and not uncomfortable even on substantial climbs

Cons: Sleeve style can get a bit hot.

Recommendation: Good for both DH and XC riders
