Pros: In my opinion, this is the only way to hold your gear for bike packing. It is completely out of the way and holds a lot of stuff. It holds my MSR whisperlite stove, small cooking pot, food, clothes, first aid kit, hygiene kit, etc. I am highly impressed by the quality of materials and how well it stays in place.

Cons: None!

Recommendation: Don't waste your time with bulky pannier set-ups. This is the only way to go.

Pros: Good design and the water proof capability is nice.

Cons: A bit of minor sway off the rear of the bike when totally full. Prevents you from getting far behind the seat on descents.

Recommendation: Great for bikepacking or even commuting without a backpack. Holds a ton a gear securely and keeps it dry.

Model/Year: 2012

Pros: capacity, durability, secure

Cons: none so far

Recommendation: While pricey, this is hand made in the USofA, so I take that into consideration. I bought this for bikepacking and was able to store a 2-man tent, a tarp used as a footprint, and several other smaller items. Once secured to the seatpost, you almost forget about it. There are some small loops on the outside that I used to strap down my camp shoes. Great product so far.
