Model/Year: Kinesis Maxlight FF29 2015

Pros: An aggressive yet comfortable all day trail machine which will go over/through almost anything.

The geometry rewards an engaged and active pilot rather than a laid back, hang-on rider; while still a "long top-tube, short stem" design it isn't a super slack bike that will drag you through technical sections. That said it isn't a super twitchy racer either, at trail speed it is stable and comfortable enough for long days. It isn't restricted to manmade trail use, with the correct tyres it makes a very capable natural trail explorer.

Cons: Stock build kit includes 2.2" Bronson tyres and 19mm (internal) WTB rims which, while fairly quick and nimble, lack the aggression to match the frame. Dropper post not included nor an option.

*Out Of Production*

Recommendation: Paired with a dropper post, a bolt-through fork and an aggressive wheel build (2.4" on 21mm internal rims) this is a truly stellar bike for the intermediate to advanced rider wanting a do-it-all hard tail. Equally at home smashing through a Black route or going for a gentle ride with the kids on a towpath.
