Ely Outdoor Enthusiasts 2nd annual fat tire bike event is held at the Ward Mountain Recreation Area, North Trailhead. The 5 mile loop traverses counter-clockwise on the Bristlecone Birkebeiner (D), Atta Boy (E), Revenue (C), and connects back to the Birkebeiner (D).
Additional events include cross country ski and snowshoe races.
