The MTB Showdown will feature an 8-mile course and will be the fifth race in our six-race MTB Spring Series. To be eligible for series awards, athletes must race in five of the six MTB Races in the series.
Included with your entry fee: Custom TBF hat, athlete goody bag with products and coupons, post race hot meal, on-course aid and support from CLIF Bar and FLUID, awards three-deep in each age-group and division and a chance to win raffle prizes.
The MTB Showdown race course is on multi-use trails within the Granite Bay State Park on Folsom Lake. The course features a fun, challenging combination of twisting single-track, wide double track, rolling cross-country with lots of turns that flow through the oak and pine forests. The course is perfect for first-timers and exciting fun for all levels. Please be respectful of other trail users including hikers and equestrian riders in this state park. All events are rain or shine, the course is great to ride in all weather.
The MTB Showdown has a 1-lap Junior division, a Novice and Clydesdale division with 2-laps, a Sport and Single Speed 3-lap division, and an Expert/SS Expert and Pro divisions all doing four laps. Each lap is 8 miles of challenging, scenic, fast single track trails, up and down the foothills surrounding Folsom Lake. The fun course has a mixture of downhills and climbs combined with beautiful single track through the woods and along the lake shore at Folsom Lake State Park.
