Screen Cast Video: The Skill Mountain Bikers Must Learn to Avoid Crashing into Trees

While watching mountain bike crash videos recently, I noticed something in a few of the clips that showed crashes with trees: riders panicking by trying to turn their bars/front wheels to avoid a last-second collision instead of more pronounced and reflexive leaning of the bike.

And then it occurred to me that learning side-to-side bike/body separation for riding difficult skinnies could help develop the reflexes necessary for avoiding crashing into trees and other immovable objects along the trail. Check out this video for more information!

Note: this skill is best used for last-second tree avoidance. To make sure you see the trees coming a long ways out, be sure to check out my article on vision, here.
