Alabama (AL) offers mountain bikers a wide variety of trails to choose from and everyone--from beginners to advanced riders--can find a great trail to ride.

The mountains of Northwest Alabama feature challenging mountain bike trails with plenty of lung-busting climbs and fast descents. Bankhead and Talladega National Forests host several popular mountain bike trails and there are even trail systems located in Southern AL near the coast.

Some of the best trails in Alabama can be found in the middle to northern part of the state and include Oak Mountain State Park just outside Birmingham and the Coldwater Mountain trails in Anniston. Many trail systems are located close to interstates like I-20, I-85, and I-65.
