Pros
Light, stiff, fast, and stable. This is a race bike that can be used for fast trail rides however it is not a plush trail bike that can be raced if you get what I am trying to say. For such a step head angle it is surprisingly stable at speed. I have no trouble at all bombing steep, fast, rocky downhills remembering it has only 4" of travel, very stiff frame, no flex. The bike goes where it is pointed.
Cons
Rear suspension is race oriented and could be a little more plush for trail riding. I never put the stable platform on, doesn't need it as long as you know how to spin and not move your upper body around when hammering. This trait though means it doesn't handle as well when plodding along, it is meant to be ridden aggressively.

I would recommend to anyone who likes a fast, quick handling race bike who also likes to race through the local trails.
Pros
This is a quick-handling, light-weight bike which is well-suited to XC use. Climbs and accelerates very well. No issues or reliability problems. Mine is a 2005, which I purchased from RaceFace in MD last December; a very good deal. I could not be any happier, more bike that I will ever need.
Cons
Just a little light on the front end when climbing, but I have riser handle-bars, so maybe flats would help. Bike came with Continental tires, which I changed for WTB Exiwolfs for more traction.

Do not hesitate to try this bike, if you are considering an EPIC, Flux, or similar.
