| Pros | Long lasting, easy to get in and out of, stay in when you want to stay in, take a beating, inexpensive but not cheap (quality wise)... | | Cons | a little heavy, but I will take the trade off of being more dependable any day.. | | Verdict | I have tried spd's, crank bros, and even speedplay frogs, these are the best all around pedals for a great price.. I am a Times fan from now on! | | Recommended for: Anyone |

| Pros | Durability and simplicity. | | Cons | Weight (but who really cares about an extra 50 grams...) | | Verdict | I think this particular pedal is dirt cheap; I just got a new set from Jenson for USD $45.95. I've done about six thousand miles on Eggbeaters and about three thousand on Times. They are both good pedals but I lean toward Times. I think they are slightly easier to enter, and I don't like the fact that Eggbeater uses a bushing instead of bearings under the foot -- they just plain wear out. Also, if you bash an Eggbeater against a rock when pedaling they will usually release, which is really annoying when doing technical riding. | | Recommended for: Anyone |

| Cons | a little on th epricey side, but you get what you pay for on ike components... | | Verdict | I love Time pedals as I have had a pair of the original ATAC pedals for over 10 years. Of course that pair is on my bakup bike, but they still work flawlessley just like my "new" pair that are about 2 years old. The new ones have seen three completely new bikes and are the only dependable thing that comes off the old one and goes to the new one. | | Recommended for: Anyone |
