| Pros | Smooth bearings, lasts a long time, easy installation, uses standard Park BB tool | | Cons | I can't think of any | | Verdict | Probably the best value in ISIS bottom brackets out there. I mine is in my singlespeed - no issues, good chainline. It just works. |
| Pros | Affordable, easy to install, and excellent materials quality. | | Cons | Internal bearings susceptible to moisture. | | Verdict | Again, the key to these types of bottom brackets is proper care & drainage. Drilling drain holes into the BB shell on the bike is one way, as is to avoid spraying water directly at the seals when washing the bike.
Otherwise, this component is appropriate for everything from XC, to Freeride, to sunset-chasing All-Mountain, to recreational downhilling. Strength is a non-issue, as is durability; as long as proper care is given. Any type of internal bearing bottom-bracket should never be put away wet. |
