NiteRider MiNewt.X2 Dual LED Reviews
Description: (
from niterider.com)
The MiNewt.X2 Dual headlamps combine for a blinding 300 lumens of light output. The dual headlamps with independent mounting permit “stacking” light beams for ultimate beam pattern flexibility, better night riding performance and adds a layer of safety and redundancy. The X2 Dual incorporates all the great features found with the single X2, with the advantage of double the light
output. Regulated run times are 1:45 HRS on high and 3:30 HRS on low.

Pros
Dual adjust ability. 1.25 hr on high.
Cons
Dual adjust ability. 3 hr charge. Battery discharges quick when not in use.

On my 2nd season with these lights. No problem. Lights are getting yellow over time from white. I have the 400 lumens, not the 300 in the review.

Pros
Super bright with plenty of battery light for most kinds of riding, a smart charger that doesn't rely on you keeping track of how long it's been charging. Having two actual light sources is great for customizing what in front of you gets lit up based on what you're doing.
Cons
Almost too bright- even on low, these overpower my 10W TrailRat helmet light which means you should have a pretty bight helmet light if using these on your bars. No way to mount somewhere other than the bars. No storage bag included in packaging (though these fit in my TrailRat bag with it). No way to only use one light.

While a little on the pricey side for handlebar only lights, these work great as a complement for a helmet light for mountain biking, and work equally well on a commuter or road bike in the dark. Don't try and use these as your only light mountain biking as not having a helmet light will really slow you down.
