Description: (from jamisbikes.com)
Some days, you want to go cross-country, hard. And other times, you want to just follow the fall line, fast. It’s tough, deciding between two kinds of ride. Now you don’t have to.

The all-new XCT splits the difference between pure cross-country performance and aggressive trail riding. It’s light and fast, with the stable pedal platform of our proven
mp3 suspension so it climbs like an XC racer. But it’s also plush and tough, so you can use all 5 inches of suspension travel and plunge down descents like a Dakar XAM.

Using XCR frame tubing keeps the heft down, with slightly relaxed angles and a longer wheelbase to add more high-speed stability without taking too much of an edge off the XCR’s crisp handling skills. Throw-in at least 130 mm of fork travel, plus powerful hydraulic discs and aggressive tread and you have everything you need to stay in control no matter where you pedal.

Also available is the upgraded models XCT II and XCT III.

Review
This is my first Full Suspension bike, and I can't imagine going back to Hardtails anytime soon. I bought the frame with Rear Shock brand new, and put my own components on, so this review doesn't include OEM items. Not the lightest frame, but I am not the lightest rider either at over 200lbs. I have rode this 6 times off road, and so far I feel invinceable eating up small downhills in Michigan and tracking well in the corners. From what I understand, the only difference in frames from the 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 is the rear shock, which has no lockout. But that can be updated later. I've had some questions regarding specs of frame while fitting components, and Jamis Cust service is fantastic. So far, good company, fun bike.

Pros
Excellent downhill ability

Cons
Steep climbs are more of a chore even with front lockout

Review
I actually gave the 2.0 Excellent bike so far. Travel soaks up everything and steep descents become astonishingly aggressive very quickly. Ascents become a chore, but nothing strong riders can't muscle through.
