Extremely versatile ride. Plush, but easily controlled. Responsive and forgiving.
Cons
Original seat was too hard and flat.

Bought an '07 X1. Great all around trail bike. Does it all very well.

Pros
Pretty much everything. Does what a dedicated trail bike should.
Cons
Headset is crap.

Great bike at an even better price.
Pros
Everything! It climbs and bombs. Just point and shoot. No picking lines really.
Cons
Gotta buy better peddles. Im a plat rider. Clicks suck!

Buy it you love it. Any higher model is that much better. Buut you get all the right components with this model and a lot less of the price. Recommend a new front tire.

I just recently purchased the '09 Trance X3 and love it. The climb is more efficient than my '99 hard tail and the decent is unbelievable. I knew when I started not to test ride a full suspension until I was ready to buy but who knew it could be this good.
