For people just rec riding, or for you small 10 mile max workout rides, and for first timers thatare just learning short-moderate dist ride technique.
I use it for my late spring-early summer warm ups i do after work and on my days off. Mainly used for short 7-10 mile work outs.

Doesn't hold alot, so it's the best thing to take on an afterwork ride. You hardly notice it's there until you need it.

This is my main pack for short rides. It set on your back pretty high and lets your lowere back breath . Hte light weight and few attachement points make it great for a quick ride!
