Pros
They're better than v-brakes... kinda.
Cons
They don't modulate well, they're heavy, they squeal after 15 minutes of use and they are hardly adjustable.
Review
If you don't like how they perform after 5 rides... buy different brakes... that's as good as they get.
Pros
simple,do the job
Cons
wish it had a easier adjustment
Review
a sign of a good product is when you forget that its on your bike. these do the job and never any trouble.
Pros
Simple to setup. Minimal further adjustment needed. Easy pad replacement. Reach adjustment.
Cons
Rotor squeal that will make you grind your teeth. Maybe it's the rotor. Have only tried them on the G2 rotors that come with the brake.
Review
A simple and reliable hydro who's only real weakness is noise. I have really only tried them as an AM or XC brake but heat has not yet been an issue and no fade has been felt.
Pros
stopping power, these brakes lock up my back tire on a dime. they were realitively cheap($100).
Cons
No complaints yet, but ive only had them for a couple weeks.
Review
I would recommend them to anyone doing some serious XC. All my confidence are in these brakes when im flying down the hill. For downhill i would recommend "uping your rotors". its a cheap fix.

Pros
-Good clean feeling on both road and trails.
-Good stopping power downhill but I would recommend investing in 185mm or 203mm front rotors for that.
-Relatively quiet.
-Low index on levers
Cons
-160mm system lacks real punch on hills
-no pad contact dial makes it difficult to avoid any pad noise or the infamous "turkey gobble" sound

Overall, a great hydraulic disc system for all as well as those making their first hydraulic purchases. It is difficult to find this system overpriced, even on eBay, and installation is even easier thanks to the split-clamp design. Also, to the previous user who commented, it sounds like air may be getting into your line through the seal on the caliper hub. You may have already checked that, in which case I'm as baffled as you haha.
Pros
Good reservoir system, fairly simple. Clean look
Cons
Rear brake goes soft intermittently.

Ok, front brake works just fine. Problem is with the back one. Both myself and the Bike Store bled the thing but i think it has a curse! Ill get to speed on a downhill and when i go to stop... nothing, goes all the way to the handle, i squeeze again and it only has half the power... third time it may grab but who knows. I think its trying to kill me.

Pros
I liked the fact that I could buy this product as a bolt on, allready bled ready to go product. Replacement pads are readliy available and cheap, unlike the Hayes 9`s that these replaced on my bike
Cons
That they didn`t come standard on my Jamis

These brakes are great for anyone to update to. Particulaly if you have cable operated callipers. They woulk great on 6, 7 or 8" rotors
