Sacred Rides Trail Review Contest

Just add new trail information and you'll be awarded points as listed here. Your reviews, photos, etc. help others get on the trails so we've added some bonus points for anyone adding the first trail review or trail photo to a trail.

• New Trails - 3 points
  • Use this link to add a new trail. For the contest, new mountain bike trails must be at least 2 miles long and as always, trails must be legal and open to mountain bikes--no backyard trails or trails on private property allowed.
  • Do not copy trail information from another source. All info (directions, description, etc.) must be original. Violators will be disqualified from the contest.
• Trail Reviews - 1 point
  • Use the Review this trail link on your MTB Trail Dashboard. Try to be as descriptive as possible when writing a trail review. Short and/or baseless reviews aren't helpful to others and will be not be counted toward contest points. Do not review a trail unless you've ridden it
  • Only one review per trail (per person) will be eligible for contest points, though you may edit your reviews at any time.
  • BONUS! 5 points for being the first review of any trail.
• Trail Photos - 1 point
  • On the Photos tab of any trail, click the Add a MTB photo link on the Photo Album Dashboard and upload your photo(s). The trail and/or scenery should be the main focal point of the photo. People, bikes, signage, etc. can appear in the photo as well.
  • A strict limit of 20 photos per trail (per person) will be eligible for contest points.
  • Do not post photos unless you took the picture or have written permission from the photographer. Copyright violations will result in disqualification from the contest.
  • BONUS! 5 points for being the first to upload a photo of a trail.
• Trail Videos - 2 points
  • On the Video tab of any trail, click the Submit your video link on the MTB Video Dashboard and enter the website link to your video (on youtube, vimeo, etc.). The video must be mountain bike related and at least 30 seconds in length.
  • All video submissions are subject to review and may take 2-3 business days to be approved. Once approved points will be added to your total.
  • A strict limit of 10 approved videos per trail (per person) will be eligible for contest points.
• Complete GPS Tracks - 10 points
  • On the Map tab of any trail, click the Submit a map link to upload your GPX-formatted trail data file.
  • All map submissions will be reviewed and may take 5-7 business days to be approved. In addition to getting points in the contest, you can earn a Free Pro Subscription for submitting new GPS data.
  • Partial maps and updates are worth 5 points each. No points awarded for duplicate GPS data.
  • Only post GPS data you have collected yourself. Submitting GPS data from another website will result in automatic contest disqualification.

The Fine Print

• Get contest updates and ask questions in the official contest forum thread.
• You must be a Singletracks member to participate. Login or create a free account.
• All information, reviews, photos, videos, and GPS data are subject to approval. Don't waste your time posting baseless or useless content - we'll remove it and you won't get any points.
• Members who receive compensation for submissions are not eligible for contest points.
• Content added prior to Mar 14, 2011 is not eligible for points in the contest.
• In the event of a tie, the member with the most overall Singletracks contribution points will be named the winner.
• To receive your prize and/or free Singletracks stickers, we will contact you via your registered email for your shipping information after the contest ends.
• Singletracks and the contest sponsors reserve the right to modify the contest rules at any time and to deny any contributions we deem to be inappropriate/fraudulent.
