Time and weather change, and cool buds.November 1, 2009Well, It's time to talk my wife into letting me go with the boys to Ray's Indoor....Yea, right! I would love to go, but with two young boys and not allotta money, I doubt it will happen soon. As you know, the time just "jumped back" and the winter is getting near, the time is getting close to the point that either the trail is closed because of the conditions or it gets dark too soon. (I don't have any lights for this...yet) I usually ride with a buddy of mine named Alan. He's still a little shaky on his new wife's bike but he's getting better. I recently have gotten back on a bike because of my oldest son. He's 6 and is doing really well with his DK Tracer Jr. BMX bike at our local track (Delco Park). He's getting pretty good and I have been practicing with him on my 2004 Trek 4300. Since Dayton has some fairly new areas for me to ride I started going after work with Alan to the Huffman Park MoMba area. It's a good trail system for me. I can usually do all the trails in about an hour and a half. Going by myself is cool, but it's more fun with someone else. Alan and I play racquetball on 'Wednesdays and I thought that during the summer we could do the trails instead. He hasn't had as much seat time on a bike as me and is a little slower but I get some exercise and fun, so It's all good. Plus, I like spending time with Alan, he's cool. Comments |
