VholdR HD Helmet Cam Contest Winner

Thanks to everyone who participated in the VholdR contest last month. Maddslacker ran away with the lead early on and never looked back. Soon he’ll be the proud owner of a slick VholdR Contour HD helmet camera and we expect to see some sweet videos from him soon!

By the end of the contest, members linked 437 new trail videos to singletracks trail listings and added footage for more than 100 trails. The video tab on our trail pages is quickly becoming the most popular destination and with sweet HD video it’s no surprise :)

Thanks to VholdR for hooking it up on this contest! Stay tuned for more contests in September…

  1. Devin_P ate my lunch in the last contest. (How are those tires?)

Y’all can have at the next one!

Seriously, the process of this contest exposed me to a LOT of trails all over the country. Living where I do it’s sort of easy to forget that there is mountain biking outside of Colorado/Utah.

One trail in particular that caught my eye was the Flume Trail near Tahoe. I will definitely be planning a trip there to ride that and others in the area!

Thanks to Singletracks and VholdR for hooking this up! (And trek7k for the great review of the camera)

  2. Congrats buddy!
That Flume Trail in NV above Tahoe is great but the 10 miles of the TRT leading to the north end of it are fantastic! there is a report here on ST.
I just purchased one of these cams and so far … well, if your an apple user it will work just fine for you-

  3. How about a competition offering a free GPS unit so those of us too poor to afford one can wage war over the prize?

(I guess obviously the actual contest couldn’t have anything to do with submitting gps data, because all of the people who would be really interested in winning it wouldn’t have one yet…)

but a GPS unit as a prize would be AMAZING!
