Singletracks Going Road

Mountain biking has been fun but recently the singletracks crew has decided to get more serious about road cycling. Mongoose traded his DH rig for a svelte carbon-fiber Madone from Trek and element22 was recently spotted sipping an espresso at a local cafe with his Litespeed Ghisallo titanium bike leaned against the table. Bombardier has decided to change his name to LeBombardier and 2leftfeet is taking classes at the local bike shop to learn how to tweak Dura Ace components.
As for me, I’m shaving my legs once a week and working on moving all the member accounts to our new website, iluv2roadbike.com. Fortunately Wal-Mart has agreed to purchase the singletracks.com name for a new online music store they’re launching that allows you to purchase single music tracks. They offered 100 bucks which was too good a deal to pass up.
We should have all the new changes ready just in time for the Tour de France this summer so stay tuned! Oh, and happy April Fool’s Day

That’s good, considering Mongoose isn’t a fan of Trek to begin with

Ha ha, Happy April Fools Day! I’m sure if you offered Goose a free Remedy or a Session he wouldn’t turn it down!

Ha! Ha! That was tooo funny!
Hey! Hey! I just back from coaching my 10 year son on freeriding techniques making big drops, and he did it! He made his first 10′ drop into a transition today and you should of seen that big monster fearless grin on his face as he was coming down followed by a huge “Woo Hoo!”. For a April Fools day, that was the best thrill yet! After seeing that, I just could never turn to road riding! The thrill, the action, the adrenaline, and the dirt, what else could I ask for. Thanks Jeff for the April Fools day blog, just another great thing to add to the list of fun, exciting, and funny things going on today.
Thanks Asfyxiate, I got a good chuckle out of that one!
Oh yeah Luli79, I would never turn down a great FREE offer for a Session 88 nor a Remedy, just down my line of fun!
Trek, that would be pretty scary seeing you with shaved legs! Maybe throw a little cross dressing in there as well! Ha! Ha! Thanks brother for the Fools Day humor.
Happy April Fools Day to all!

Coffee shops are the absolute best place to log tons of road miles.

Bring on the roadies!!! Happy April fools. Did you hear on the news about the changes in gravitational pull on the earth? A road ride never killed anyone I know, maybe a broken bone or two. Keep on ridin’

Hey you guys are making me feel bad about owning a road bike (a Trek Madone 5.1 to be specific). I started as MTB and will always MTB but there is a certain thrill in cruising at 20+ mph inches from thirty other riders…

I may be gullable, but you had me going there. At any rate, that was not funny.

That’s a pretty good joke, although I must say I did recently pick up a road bike. I am mtn by heart and always will prefer trails to roads, but there is still some fun to cruising fast with a group of roadies. Different element, different goals, but still the same love for biking whether asphalt or dirt. -AtR
