yes! another excuse to bust out my favorite stationary - green engineering graph paper. the plan was to build a 12 foot long teeter-totter with an approach angle of 20-22°. the materials needed are as follows…

for the plank (rideable area):

  • 2 - 2×6x12
  • 6 - 1×4x11″

for the base:

  • 2 - 4×4x2
  • 6 - 2×4x7-1/4″
  • 4 - 2×4x32″ (30¬? cuts on both ends)
  • 2 - 2×4x30″
  • 2 - 2×4x55.5″ (optional supports)

for the pivot box:

  • 2 - 2×6x11″
  • 2 - 2×6x11″ (can be slightly shorter in length)

and to hold it all together:

  • 1 - 3/4″ steel rod (min length of 14″)
