Singletracks news and updates
Things have been pretty busy here at singletracks over the past few weeks and we wanted to share some of the things that are going on:

Membership promo happening through Jan 1: If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your free singletracks membership now is the time to do it. Upgrade your account in November or December and you can add a second gift membership (up to $29 value) for a friend for just $5! We’ll even give you a slick singletracks certificate you can print or email to your friend. Sweet.

Facebook stuff: For those who don’t know, we created a Facebook app back in January that lets you keep track of and share the mountain bike trails you’ve ridden - if you don’t already have it, add it to your profile tab today!
We also created a singletracks page on Facebook yesterday for our mountain biking peeps. Become a fan so you can join our discussion of east coast vs. west coast mountain biking and give us a shout. Our goal is to have 20,000 fans before spring, help us spread the word!

Santa is making his list: Singletracks has partnered with Jolly Old Saint Nick this year to deliver your mountain biking wishlist to the North Pole and we’ve set up a forum thread to get things started. Also don’t forget you can keep your own MTB wishlist by adding items from our mountain bike review section on singletracks. We’ll be tallying up the items that appear on the most wishlists and sharing them here on the blog soon so make sure your list is up to date!
Forums are rockin’ so please come knockin’: The singletracks forums are really heating up despite cooling temperatures outside and we’d love to have you stop in if you haven’t been by before. Join these discussions about 29ers vs. 26ers, winter MTB training tips, and the best things folks have found on the trail.
Design and usability tweaks: Mudhunny has been working hard to improve the usability of the site and she’s already done wonders for our membership sign-up process in just the past week. We’re also making subtle design changes to emphasize things like site search. Next up: improving our GPS and mapping tools - keep your eyes peeled!
Product reviews coming soon: We’re getting mountain bike product deliveries almost daily and we can’t wait to post our reviews of the latest MTB gear. Look for upcoming reviews of lights, sunglasses, GPS units, apparel, tires, and more - just in time for holiday shopping…
Whew, is that all? Oh yeah, we’re also still keeping this blog updated daily with MTB news from around the world. Stay with us for even more in 2009!

A great big thanks goes out to all the Singletracks crew that have made Singletracks come alive for their fellow MTBR’s and alike and all the hard work they have done to keep this place a rockin, especially with the news and updates they provide on a daily basis. Thanks from all of us, and I am quite sure that I speak for all of singletracks members!
May we grow by leaps and bounds and become the largest MTB’ing community that share one common thing; “Live to Ride, Ride to Live, and enjoy doing so!”
