kennethjensen82 When are you going to be in town? I'll show you the Southern Kettles (Muir, Emma) if you're up for it! I need to get some miles in before I head out to Moab in October anyways!

I am going to be in Milwaukee in september. I need to know the best trails to ride. I have been looking on singletracks for some of the research, but it would be nice to have someone actually tell me what they enjoy. I plan on traveling out of Milwaukee, if the trail is worth it.

"So after a lot of rambling and bragging I notice there’s not much point to this post other than I enjoy my local trails."

That's totally fine! I know the feeling!! Thanks for the awesome write up and the sweet video!

If you haven't ridden there yet, Levis Mounds is definitely worth a trip. I might be a little biased, but the trails there are fantastic on a Midwest scale, with some steep hills to climb, great views from the cliff tops, some serious exposure, and a good dose of rocks and bridges thrown in. Definitely very different than the trails you featured in this post (not very many jumps)

That's exactly why I have not ventured far from these trails to explore other Wisconsin singletrack. Once to Blue Mounds, once to the Kettle Moraine, but my need for gnar is satisfied at home; why go elsewhere?

The thing that gets me about these "country club" trails is that they are so radically different than, like, everything else in the state of Wisconsin. Where else in WI can you get a sculpted man-made playground for mountain bikes and wooden features like these? (Aside from maybe Ray's Milwaukee)

Great post and a great setup in which you have found yourself. I am not as fortunate from an employer standpoint, but I do love our local trails and pitch in to help build & maintain. Not only is it just a great thing to do, it can give you a higher sense of ownership and pride about your local trails. I helped rebuild a bridge this past weekend, and now every time I go over it I will know "I did that".
