After my disc brakes become very muddy, what should i do to just clean them? After cleaning them, do they need to be coated with anything to prevent corrosion?

In the section of rotor inspection and cleaning i did mention to watch your fingers...at0m your lucky i did actaully see a young child stick his finger into the rotor while it was rotating in the bike stand at my shop...lucky for him it stayed on.. It was fixed but he was in a finger cast for a few months.

So don't feel too bad...Your not the only one.

A small tip that probably falls in the obvious for most people ( not me apparently ) is if you are trying to adjust the pads to stop rubbing against the rotor, don't use the adjuster with the wheel spinning, even slowly.. that lesson cost me 5 stitches and a finger nail :(
